My name is Nivi. I am a web developer by day a full time music addict. Currently listen to a lot of progressive/symphonic metal and some heavier stuff. I also enjoy many genres, from alternative rock to world and electronic music. If it’s atmospheric and has a good beat, I’d give it a go!
On some nights I turn into a goth photographer and you will find me in gigs, as close to the front as I can, mobile phone in hand ready to take photos.
I am partially sighted due to an eye condition called retinitis pigmentosa (bit of a mouthful so I call it wonky vision) which does mean I have to do things a bit differently. Doesn’t stop me from doing the things I enjoy.
Over the years I have gone to many concerts. One of the most memorable ones was Charlotte Wessels (ex Delain) first solo album release in Utrecht in 2022.
The concert itself absolutely brilliant, I also got to meet many of the people from her lovely Patreon community and have attended even more gigs with a few friends I have made from there.
I hope to use this space to share the stories of my travels and concerts as well as tips and tricks to make going to concerts more accessible. There might also be guest posts from friends I have made along the way who also have to do things differently because of the way their body / brain works.
This is the initial idea, however the way my brain works, don’t be surprise if I go off topic! 😉
